What is PAINWeek?
PAINWeek 2007 is a national medical conference during Pain Awareness Month in September, providing relevant, real-world education for the frontline practitioner who treats patients in pain. PAINWeek offers a core collaborative curriculum along with multiple concurrent sessions hosted by participating organizations. The mix of plenary and breakout sessions will provide patient- and practice-management strategies for all practitioners.

Where and when does PAINWeek take place?
PAINWeek 2007 will take place September 6-9, 2007, at the Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Red Rock's serene surroundings and concierge-level service will ensure that your visit is pleasurable and comfortable. You can count on your stay being memorable and stress-free, whether relaxing in its luxury pool, playing in its casino, or treating yourself to Red Rock's deluxe spa after conference hours.

How far from the The Strip is the hotel?
The Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa is about 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip and is easily accessible by taxi or free shuttle service provided by the hotel.

Who should attend PAINWeek?
Frontline practitioners - physicians, nursing professionals, physician assistants, pharmacists, podiatrists, and dentists who treat patients in pain - are advised to attend PAINWeek.

What if I want more advanced or specialized training than what’s available for PAINWeek?
Practitioners who desire more specialized training are encouraged to attend courses during PAINWeek listed as the Pain Educators Forum organized by the American Society of Pain Educators or the Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) course organized by the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine. We recommend that you view the curriculum for these advanced offerings.

How much does it cost to attend PAINWeek?
The pre-registration meeting fee is $399 Hotel rates at the Red Rock are currently $139. (Published rates are $339-399.)

How do I register for PAINWeek?
You can register by calling (877) PAIN-WEEK (724-6933).

How many CME credits can I earn? And will I receive a
certificate of attendance?

Health-care professionals can earn up to 30 CE/CME hours. CE/CME certificates will be mailed to you after the program. Accreditation is offered for ACCME, ACPE, ANCC, APA, and ADA (Dentists). AANP and AAFP accreditation details will be made available soon. All delegates (attendees) will receive PAINWeek Delegate Certificates.

Coming to PAINWeek solo?
Not to worry. Delegates will have many opportunities to meet and network with delegates from across the country. We also encourage you to bring colleagues to enhance the learning experience. PAINWeek offers group rates for groups from three to hundreds of individuals. Please contact Donna Carson at (973) 415-5101 to discuss your needs.
If you are attending PAINWeek by yourself, there is no need to dine solo. Sign up for the PAINWeek Dining Club. As a service to delegates, we have organized dining events each night of the conference to encourage attendees to meet and socialize with other delegates in a casual, relaxed environment.

Does PAINWeek offer scholarships?
At this time PAINWeek does not offer scholarships. We have tried to price PAINWeek to be affordable for many individuals. PAINWeek is actually priced well below most medical conferences offering this amount of CE/CME credits (30+).

Can I bring my spouse or significant other who is not a
healthcare professional?

Spouses, significant others, and guests are welcome at the PAINWeek exhibit hall free of charge. Spouses and guests who want to attend the sessions, breakouts, and official meal functions must register for a guest pass. We only ask you limit it to one guest pass per full paid attendee.

Guided tours, excursions, and day trips of Las Vegas and the surrounding area will also be offered for meeting attendees and their families. Package details and pricing will be available soon.

Can I bring children to PAINWeek?
Because of the professional learning environment we would like to foster at PAINWeek, children are not permitted in any of the PAINWeek sessions, breakouts, or official meal functions. However, family-oriented guided tours, excursions, and day trips in and around the Las Vegas area will be offered. Package details and pricing will be available soon.
